A view month ago my university Gajah Mada university was visited by Hanseo university students of CPU joint volunteer from Hanseo University program, As I knew they will have bongsahwaldong for 8 days in Puton, one of villages in Yogyakarta. I was so happy because this is my second time helped hanseo University volunteer. I was lucky because i could pick up them in airport. In the first immpression, they were very friendly, handsome, beautifull and i got warm gretting from them. Because of their kindness, we were get closer easly.
During that time We worked together, They have had plan to Puton village and we are as UGM’s korean students volunteer helped them to translate or bridge communication among Hanseo student, the local government and their citizen. In the first day, we had a liltle bit trouble, it is caused from language differ and we had not knew each other yet , But, increasingly we could have an conversation and talk about everything, and it was a very wonderful day!!!
When they came to Jogja, I was volounteer who helped them in doing activites during they stayed in Jogja. Although they did not stay for a long time, I got many experiences from this program, the most impressive thing when I helped them is teaching korean language, korean culture, game, song etc at elementary school of Puton village. I was very pleased to help them introduce korean althought it was slightly.
Totality the Hanseo students and teachers are very nice and kind persons. I have funny story about my friend, his name is Fufu, He was volunteer too. He was often absent in the class, absolutely his Korean speaking is so bad, So he often get matter when he want to speak with Hanseo students or teachers. He said to me that“ I have regrets that I was often absent in speaking class, so that is why my Korean speaking is so bad, So I cannot tell my fell to her” after the end of this program. Now, He more active joins Korean class and wishes in the next year he can speak to the Hanseou students when they visit Jogyakarta.
Through CPU joint volunteer with hanseo University program, We can practice our Korean language and learn about their working spirit, and make new friends between Indonesia students and Korean students.
